You might find that after some time your Marty's arm starts to move unexpectedly, this can be caused by spinning the arm around which then puts the arm gear in the “incorrect” position. When Marty waves the expectation is that the arm and the arm gear are in the

If you are finding that your arm does not move correctly it may be because the arm gear has been tightened too much during assembly causing the gear to jam.

You can fix this simply by loosening the arm gear until the arm moves freely.

In this video you can see that the arm gear is so tight that the arm will not move, it is then loosened by screwing anti-clockwise, and the upper arm gear is pulled slightly away from the body and then the arm moves freely.

Sometimes if Marty takes a tumble, the servo and LED connectors that make his eyes work can become dislodged. Don't worry - this is an easy fix!

To check that this is what's causing the issue, you can open up Marty's faceplate by pressing on both blue tabs like below. This will allow you to get a better look at the LED and eye servo connectors.

The two groups of three wires coming from each eye are the LED connectors. If pushed in correctly they should look like this.

There are a few reasons why Marty might not be walking properly

Marty will walk best on a hard surface such as a solid floor or table top, and will struggle with things like carpet and slopes

For best results, and especially while calibrating Marty's legs and testing the walk, ensure that you're using Marty on a flat, firm surfacehere

If Marty receives a large knock, it is possible that the servo arm will skip around the servo spline. This will result in Marty not being able to move a joint to the full range of movement
