Hello, I'm Marty!

I am a humanoid robot who was developed to make STEM learning fun and engaging for everyone! I am designed for educators and learners- I am simple to use, incredibly robust and absolutely state of the art. I can walk, dance and eyebrow-wiggle like no other robot can! I am equipped with a unique walking mechanism, with 9 servo motors controlling my movements. This means I can turn, kick a ball and so much more, while also being more stable than other walking robots.

So, What is a Robot?

A robot is a machine that can carry out a number of tasks automatically that is usually programmed by a computer. Robots are used for all manor of things including making things like cars in the manufacturing industry to things like washing machines in your house!

In most cases robots are designed to do very specific things; there are even robots that will cut your grass… you wouldn't want this robot in your house! Marty is designed to be used on a flat level surface like a table or a play mat- Marty wouldn't be very good at cutting grass!

Which Marty do you have?

This site has resources for both Marty v1 and Marty v2. The Original Marty v1 and the new Marty v2 look pretty similar, but they work very differently.

The easiest visual way to check if you have a v1 or a v2 is to look at the screws on the cross brace at the top of the leg.
