This document shows you how to connect your Marty v2 to the Blocks Web App via Wi-Fi and get started programming Python!
How to connect to the Web App via Wi-Fi
First, set up your Marty v2 on your Wi-Fi network please follow the Wi-Fi User Guide found here: Wi-Fi. Please note it is important you take note of your Marty's IP address as we will need that later, you can find it in the configure page of the app after you have connected your Marty to Wi-Fi. Then follow these simple steps to connect Marty to Blocks and start coding!
1. Once you have connected your Marty to you Wi-Fi network, open the Web App, select app settings at the top right and swap Marty Connection Method to Wi-Fi.
2. Click connect in the top left, then select Marty, or just select the little Marty image. You should see this pop-up.
3. Enter the IP address you noted down earlier and click connect.
4. Check the back of your Marty for the correct light sequence as shown below. If it is incorrect you have the wrong Marty.
5. With the Marty now connected, select Blocks, you should see your Marty connected under the 'Devices' section on the right side. Then, test your Marty by running some simple code.
