Eyes Will Not Move Or Light Up

Eyes Will Not Move or Light Up

Sometimes if Marty takes a tumble, the servo and LED connectors that make his eyes work can become dislodged. Don't worry - this is an easy fix!

To check that this is what's causing the issue, you can open up Marty's faceplate by pressing on both blue tabs like below. This will allow you to get a better look at the LED and eye servo connectors.

Unclip Faceplate

The two groups of three wires coming from each eye are the LED connectors. If pushed in correctly they should look like this.

Eye Connectors

The group of five wires coming from the eye servo are what control Marty's eye movements. If pushed in correctly, the connection should look like this.

Eye Servo Connection

If you notice any of the connectors are slanted or completely dislodged, you can carefully press on both sides of the hard plastic connector until its completely flush with the port. If any of the connectors are completely dislodged, be aware that they can only be inserted one way around and can be quite fragile - if you're struggling to connect something, make sure it's in the correct orientation.

Finally to close Marty's faceplate, simply bring the plate into position, and press down on the horizontal crossbar until the tabs snap back in place.
